Guar Gum (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba) powder is a commonly used binder, thickener, and volume enhancer for edible preparations. Guar Gum is made of the ground inner seed of Guar Beans, making it an organic and all-natural alternative to many commercial starches.
Guar Gum has a much higher thickening potency that cornstarch, only requiring a small amount at a time.

How to Use
Guar Gum is highly water soluble and naturally binds with water molecules. The thickening potency of Guar Gum is eight times the strength of cornstarch, so a little will go a long way.
Guar Gum is most commonly used in ice creams as well as gluten free products.
