Osha
Osha (Ligusticum porteri) is a highly revered, sacred plant that faces extinction and has therefore began to be organically cultivated. Osha is Indigenous to the high elevation alpine meadows of the Rocky Mountains. The name "Osha" comes from the Indigenous American word for bear, as Osha is a common food for bears coming out of hibernation.
The root of the plant is spicy, warming and bitter and is a powerful herbal medicine with an affinity for the respiratory system.
